Refinery Technology Database

There is a Refinery Technology Database in conjunction with our Linear Programming Modeling System.

 

The Refinery Technology Database contains unit operation correlations, augmented with utility data, physical property data, operating cost data, blending data and product specifications.  Users construct and calibrate models from basic unit operations data contained in the database. Data includes delta-feed quality yield correlations for most conversion units, utility and investment data, intermediate product quality data, and more.  The database contains all of the internal code to accurately simulate U.S. Clean Air specifications, including NOx, Toxics, and VOC, as well as CARB gasoline.  The database contains LP model representations of more than 80 refinery and petrochemical unit operations, including:

 

• Reforming (High and Low Psi, Semi-Regen and Continuous, Gasoline and BTX, Yields corrected for
   Paraffins and Aromatics, Separate Benzene, Toluene, and Xylene precursor corrections)
• Isomerization (C4, Light Naphtha including C5/C6)
• FCC Naphtha Hydrotreater and 2nd Distillate Reactor for Clean Fuels production
• Benzene and precursor splitting/saturation and reformate saturation
• Hydro-desulfurization and Hydrocracking (Distillate through Residual)
• Catalytic Cracking (Zeolytic and Synthetic Catalyst, LGO and HGO over a wide range of conversions)
• Alkylation (C3, C4, C5), Polymerization, and Dimerization
• MTBE, ETBE, Tame, Isooctane
• Thermal Processes: Coking (Delayed, Fluid,and Flexi), Visbreaking, and Thermal Cracking
• Solvent De-Asphalting (with or without DAO hydrotreating)
• Hydrogen Manufacturing (gas through naphtha)
• Sulfur Recovery and Gas Separation and Treating (Saturates and Un-Saturates)
• Aromatics Recovery, Toluene De-Alkylation, Cumene, and Cyclohexane
